Types of mediumship

Mediumship is the practice of communicating with spirits or entities from the spiritual realm. Different types of mediumship exist, each involving unique methods and experiences through which mediums connect with the spirit world.

Different Types of Mediumship:

  1. Mental Mediumship: This involves the medium receiving messages through thoughts, feelings, or impressions. They may hear voices, see visions, or feel emotions from spirits, which they then relay to clients.
  2. Physical Mediumship: Physical mediums create tangible phenomena, such as objects moving, sounds being produced, or even physical manifestations of spirits. This type of mediumship often occurs in a controlled environment, such as a séance.
  3. Trance Mediumship: In this form, the medium enters a deeply altered state of consciousness, allowing a spirit to take control of their body and speak through them. This often results in the medium delivering messages directly from the spirit.
  4. Channeling: Similar to trance mediumship, channeling involves the medium allowing a spirit or higher consciousness to communicate through them. The messages may be conveyed verbally or in writing, often with the medium’s personality and consciousness still engaged.
  5. Evidential Mediumship: This type emphasizes providing specific evidence or details about the spirit, such as names, dates, or personal anecdotes, to validate the connection and assure the recipient of the authenticity of the information.
